Description
3M™ Perfect‐It™ Fast Cut Compound delivers a fine, high gloss to gelcoat and fresh and aged paintwork. It is a fast acting coarse grade compound, to be used by machine it in a variety of processes as first compounding step. The complimentary pad colour to be used is i.e. orange. Following this process, you will need to work with a finer product to achieve a high gloss final finish. Suitable are 3M™ Perfect‐It™ Fine Compound or 3M™ Perfect‐It™ High Gloss Machine Polish with a black waffle pad.

Directions for Use
- Apply sufficient compound to work a 60 cm x 60 cm area
- Place the pad over the compound and spread before starting the machine. (Machine speed = 1500-2500 rpm). If pad is new or dry, spread some compound on the pad first to ‘wet’ the pad
- Buff using light to medium pressure
- Reduce the pressure as the compound begins to dry up
- Wipe the surface and check that all the sanding scratches are removed. Re-apply if necessary
- Any compounding swirl marks can be easily removed to produce a high gloss finish on hard paints using 3M™ Perfect-it™ Machine Polish (09548) on a 3M ™Perfect-it™ High Gloss Polishing Pad (09551)
- Clean adjacent panel surfaces with a clean polishing wipe. Unpainted plastic surfaces should be cleaned immediately with soap and water before moving to the next panel
