Optiparts Optimist Releasable Rubber Joint with Rope Core for Tiller Extension

This Optimist Tiller Extension Elbow Joint with rope core fits between your tiller and extension creating a flexible joint for your handle to move about. Designed with standard tiller fitting connection (releasable base with pin and tubing). Fits all types of dinghy tillers including Laser, Optimist, Topper, RS Boats and more. These joints can usually be replaced without the need for tools.

This releasable rubber joint/swivel for tiller extionsions is mounted with an aluminium pin only. The pin is kept in place by a piece of heat shrinkable tubing. To remove a joint simply cut off the tubing and push the pin out. The fibre core will avoid complete failure should the rubber tear which allows you to finish the race.
