Marine Salesperson, Skibbereen

Reporting to the Department Manager


CH Marine, one of Ireland's leading marine equipment suppliers, is seeking applicants for a Marine Salesperson in our busy and fast moving Skibbereen store. This position is suitable for salespeople who have an interest or knowledge of boating and sailing.

CH Marine operates online, B2C and B2B sales on a national and international basis with an extensive product range.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide sales and customer service in a professional, effective and friendly manner. Includes walks-in, phone and web sales.
  • Manage all inbound phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stock shop shelves with merchandise, ensuring display and organisation of stock on the floor is attractive and well maintained at all times.
  • Assist with and maintain space saving storage of stock.

    Skills required:

    • Acceptable keyboard and computer skills with knowledge of Excel and Gmail.
    • Experience in ERP and ecommerce platforms would be advantageous.
    • Proven understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
    • Must have a good eye for display and merchandising.
    • Willingness to research and train on product knowledge.
    • Diligence and accountability.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Must be able to use own initiative and be a problem solver.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Job info

    Our stores are open Monday to Saturday, and the position is full time. The successful applicant will be scheduled to work two Saturdays every month, taking the following Monday off in lieu.

    1. Annual leave, 20 days per year apart from bank/public holidays.
    2. Access to Company Pension Scheme.
    3. Reporting to Department Manager.
