Marine Salesperson (Skibbereen)


CH Marine, one of Ireland's leading marine equipment suppliers, is seeking applicants for a Marine Salesperson in our busy and fast moving Skibbereen store. This position is suitable for sales people who have an interest or knowledge of boating and sailing.

CH Marine operates online, B2C and B2B sales on a national and international basis with an extensive product range.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Provide sales and customer service in a professional, effective and friendly manner. Includes walks-in, phone and web sales
  • Manage all inbound phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Stock shop shelves with merchandise, ensuring display and organisation of stock on the floor is attractive and well maintained at all times
  • Assist with and maintain space saving storage of stock

Skills required:

  • Acceptable keyboard and computer skills with knowledge of Excel and Gmail
  • Experience in Enterpyze, BigCommerce or other ecommerce systems would be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Must have a good eye for display and merchandising
  • Willingness to research and train on product knowledge
  • Diligence and accountability
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to use own initiative and be a problem solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work hours 

Our stores are open Monday to Saturday, and the position is full time. The successful applicant will be scheduled to work two Saturdays every month, taking the following Monday off in lieu.

Additional notes

  1. Annual leave, 20 days per year apart from bank/public holidays

Telephone Sales & Customer Services Agent (Cork City)

CH Marine is one of Ireland's leading marine equipment suppliers in both the retail and wholesale sectors. We are presently seeking applications for a Telephone Sales and Customer Services agent to join our busy team in Cork city. This is an all-year-round full-time position in a progressive company and will suit candidates, who enjoy responsibility, being part of a team and working in a fast paced and busy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering and directing numerous incoming calls
  • Basic telephone and online sales management
  • CRM
  • Provide escalation of service & delivery

Skills required:

  • Knowledge and experience in a busy customer service position for at least 2 years
  • Knowledge and experience of sales and invoicing platforms
  • Ability to manage large numbers of incoming calls and queries
  • Excellent organisational skills and accountability
  • Ability to maintain high standards of friendly professionalism
  • Knowledge of the marine industry an advantage but not essential

Work hours 

40-hours per week based around operating days of Monday to Friday.
