The manufacture and supply of the world famous Laser Class is now split into two distinctly different groups. There is the Laser Class with its original logo and the new International Laser Class Association Laser, the ILCA Class, which is the only approved boat for ILCA Class governed events these include Provincial and National Championships and as well as the world Olympics. The Laser Class manufactured by Laser Performance, although now not officially monitored by ILCA, remains the identical boat and is perfect for Club sailing and now has its own Championships. CH Marine now supplies Laser Class Boats from Laser Performance and ILCA Laser Boats from Element 6 and Ovingtons. Parts are mostly interchangeable but certain ILCA approved parts are required for compliance in ILCA events. Confused? Dont worry, please just call us and we will be glad to advise
