Probox 120Ah Inverter/Charger & Battery Monitor Pack

Use suitable 230V appliances away from shore power, recharge your battery when mains power is available, and see how much charge remains. This pack combines a Probox Spirit 120Ah deep cycle battery, a Victron Multiple's inverter/charger and a BMV-712 Smart battery monitor in one practical 12V power system.

What’s included?

• 1 × Probox Spirit 12V 120Ah deep cycle battery – stores power for your onboard equipment.
• 1 × Victron Multiple's 12/500/20-16, 230V – combines a pure sine wave inverter, 20A battery charger and automatic AC transfer switch.
• 1 × Victron BMV-712 Smart – battery monitor with display, Bluetooth access through Victron Connect and an included 500A measuring shunt.

How does it work?

When a suitable shore or mains supply is connected, the Multiple's passes AC power through to its output and can charge the battery. When that supply is disconnected, it switches to inverter mode and draws power from the battery to run suitable 230V loads. The BMV-712 measures current entering and leaving the battery so you can follow its estimated state of charge on the display or in Victron Connect.

Is this system right for me?

The MultiPlus is rated at 500VA, with 430W continuous output at 25°C. It is intended for appropriately sized loads, such as small electronics and other low-power appliances. Check an appliance’s running wattage and starting demand before relying on the inverter. Kettles, electric heaters and other high-power appliances need a larger system.

The 120Ah battery is within Victron’s published recommended battery-capacity range for the 12/500/20 model. Actual running time depends on the connected load, battery condition and how deeply the battery is discharged.

Will the battery charge when I connect shore power?
Yes. The MultiPlus has a built-in battery charger. It must be configured for the battery’s lead-acid charging requirements.

Can I check the battery on my phone?
Yes. The BMV-712 Smart connects to the VictronConnect app over Bluetooth. A phone shown in product imagery is for illustration and is not included.

Are the installation cables and protection included?
The three main products are included. Battery power cables, fuses, AC protection, distribution, shore-power hardware and battery securing parts must be specified for the installation unless separately listed with the order.

Before ordering

Check your appliance wattages, expected running time and available battery space. The battery must be securely mounted upright in a suitably ventilated location. The MultiPlus requires suitable DC cabling, overcurrent protection and AC safety devices. Set the BMV-712 to the battery’s 120Ah capacity and install its shunt so it measures all charging and load current.
