12.8 V / 100 Ah lithium storage with AC charging and a dedicated battery monitor

Upgrade your 12 V battery system with three Victron components chosen to work together: a Lithium SuperPack battery to store energy, a Blue Smart IP22 charger to recharge it from a suitable AC supply, and a BMV-712 Smart monitor to help you see how much energy remains.

This pack is a practical choice for a boat, campervan or other suitable 12 V installation where you want lithium battery storage and clearer information about battery use. It supplies the main products; the cables, protection and mounting arrangements must be chosen for the installation.

What's included?

• 1 × Victron Lithium SuperPack 12.8 V / 100 Ah High Current — lithium iron phosphate battery with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS). Victron part number: BAT512110712.
• 1 × Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger 12/20 (1) — 230 V AC battery charger with one charging output, up to 20 A charging current and built-in Bluetooth. Victron part number: BPC122042022.
• 1 × Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor — display with Bluetooth connectivity and a supplied 500 A / 50 mV shunt. Victron part number: BAM030712000R.

Lithium storage with built-in protection

The 100 Ah SuperPack stores approximately 1280 Wh of nominal energy at 12.8 V. Its integrated BMS and internal safety switch provide battery protection, including disconnection in the event of over-discharge, overcharge or high temperature. A separate external BMS is not required for this SuperPack battery.

The battery provides energy for correctly connected 12 V equipment. Actual running time depends on the power used by your devices, other loads on the battery and operating conditions.

Recharge from an AC supply

The Blue Smart IP22 12/15 (1) is a 20 A battery charger. Connect it to a suitable 230 V AC supply to charge the battery using the appropriate lithium charging mode. Its built-in Bluetooth allows charging information and settings to be viewed in the VictronConnect app on a compatible phone or tablet.

This charger does not create 230 V power from the battery. If you want to operate mains appliances while away from an AC supply, you will also need a suitably sized inverter or inverter/charger.

Know what is happening in your battery system

The BMV-712 Smart uses its shunt to measure current flowing into and out of the battery system. Once installed and configured correctly, it calculates useful information such as battery state of charge and estimated time remaining. You can check the information on its display or through the VictronConnect app via Bluetooth.

The monitor is particularly useful when you want to understand how your 12 V equipment affects battery capacity instead of judging charge level from voltage alone.

Which pack should you choose?

Choose this pack if you need 12 V lithium storage, AC battery charging and battery monitoring. It does not include an inverter or solar panel. Contact CH Marine if you also need 230 V output, solar charging or help choosing the right battery capacity for your equipment.

Installation information

This pack includes the three products listed above. It is not a pre-wired installation kit. A qualified installer should select the battery and AC cables, fuses, isolation and other protective equipment, and install the BMV shunt so the system's charging and load currents are measured correctly. Configure the charger for the battery before use.
