The P79 is a plastic, in-hull dual-frequency, depth sensor. Easy to install, accomodating deadrise angles up to 22°, it is ideal for inshore use on motorboats with outboard engines, small racing yachts and RIBs.

Features

  • Depth: Calculates how deep the water is, so that you can avoid running a ground.

  • Easy To Install: Mounted inside the hull, installation is easy and requires no holes to be drilled in the hull.

  • Dual Frequency: Works at 50 kHz and 200 kHz for good target detail in shallow water and excellent bottom tracking in deep water.

  • Highly Accurate: Provides extremely accurate data.

  • Deadrise Adjustment: Accomodates deadrise angles from 2° to 22°.

  • No Holes: Reduce the risk with this simple "no holes" solution with zero hull protrusions

FAQs

1. Would AIRMAR P79 be able to be installed in-hull?

Yes. It is an in-hull plastic, dual-frequency depth sensor that gets installed inside the hull without drilling holes or any hull protrusion.

2. Would the P79 sensor be able to operate at two frequencies – 50 kHz and 200 kHz?

Yes. The dual-frequency feature of this sensor ensures good target detail in shallow waters when operating at 200 kHz, and very good bottom tracking at 50 kHz when it operates in deep waters.

3. Would the P79 sensor be able to cater to different hull deadrise angles?

Yes. This sensor would cater to deadrise angles of 2° to 22°.

4. Would AIRMAR P79 be suitable for inshore applications and small boats?

Yes. It is very suitable for inshore use in motor boats with outboard motors, racing yachts and RIBs.

5. Would the P79 sensor measure depths up to 1,000 feet?

Yes. The P79 depth sensor measures depths up to 300 meters (1,000 feet).
