Garmin Force® Kraken Deck Mount Stabilizer Kit

The Garmin Deck Mount Stabilizer Kit supports the Force Kraken trolling motor while it is in the stowed position.

By supporting the motor shaft against the boat deck, the stabilizer helps reduce movement, vibration and bouncing when travelling through rough water or transporting the boat on a trailer. It is particularly beneficial for Force Kraken models with longer shafts.

This stabilizer is designed for the Force Kraken pivot-style trolling motor. It should not be assumed compatible with the original Garmin Force scissor-style motor.

Why Use a Stabilizer?

When a trolling motor is stowed, the weight and length of the shaft can create movement as the boat encounters waves, wakes or road vibration.

The deck stabilizer provides an additional support point beneath the motor shaft. This can help reduce stress on:

Installation

The stabilizer should be mounted on a structurally sound section of the deck directly beneath the stowed motor shaft.

Before drilling:

• Fully stow the trolling motor.
• Confirm the correct stabilizer position beneath the shaft.
• Ensure the stabilizer does not interfere with deployment.
• Check beneath the deck for cables, tanks or structural components.
• Verify that the selected surface can support the stabilizer.
• Confirm that the motor is supported without applying excessive upward pressure.

The stabilizer should support the motor securely while still allowing the motor to be released and deployed normally.

Always follow the supplied Garmin installation instructions. Installation by a suitably qualified marine technician is recommended where deck structure or access is uncertain.
