PRECISE POSITION AND HEADING DATA FOR YOUR MARINE SYSTEM

The Garmin GPS 24xd HVS combines a high-sensitivity multi-band GNSS receiver with an integrated magnetic heading sensor, providing accurate position and vessel heading information even when travelling at low speed.

Designed for installations using NMEA 0183, the GPS 24xd HVS can supply navigation data to compatible chartplotters, multifunction displays, instruments, autopilots and other marine equipment.

MULTI-BAND GNSS ACCURACY

Multi-band GNSS technology uses signals from multiple satellite frequencies to reduce errors caused by atmospheric interference and reflected signals. This provides position accuracy of less than 1 metre under typical operating conditions.

INTEGRATED MAGNETIC HEADING SENSOR

The built-in heading sensor provides magnetic heading accuracy within approximately 3 degrees. Reliable heading information helps stabilise chart displays and supports functions such as radar overlay and MARPA, including when the vessel is stationary or moving slowly.

FAST 10 HZ POSITION UPDATES

A position update rate of up to 10 times per second provides smooth and responsive position, speed and time information to connected equipment. The unit operates at 38,400 baud by default and can be configured for 4,800 baud and a 1 Hz update rate where required.

EXPANDED SATELLITE SYSTEM SUPPORT

The receiver supports multiple global navigation satellite systems, helping maintain reliable positioning in challenging marine environments where the view of the sky may be partially obstructed.

BUILT FOR MARINE INSTALLATIONS

The IPX7-rated housing is designed to withstand exposure to rain, spray and demanding marine conditions. Multiple mounting options allow the antenna to be installed in a suitable position with a clear view of the sky.
