12V Battery, Smart Charging and Battery Monitoring in One Bundle

Keep your 12V equipment powered, recharge the battery from mains electricity and see how much charge remains. This bundle brings together a Probox Spirit 120Ah deep cycle battery, a Victron Blue Smart IP22 12/20(1) charger and a Victron BMV-712 Smart battery monitor. It is a practical setup for a boat, campervan or other 12V leisure installation.

What’s included?

• 1 × Probox Spirit 12V 120Ah deep cycle battery – supplies suitable 12V domestic loads such as lighting, electronics and pumps.
• 1 × Victron Blue Smart IP22 12/20(1) charger – a 20A, single-output charger for replenishing the battery from a suitable 230V AC supply. UK plug version.
• 1 × Victron BMV-712 Smart battery monitor – displays battery information and allows monitoring through the VictronConnect app via Bluetooth. The monitor includes its standard 500A shunt.

Why add a battery monitor?

Battery voltage alone does not give you the full picture of how much usable charge remains. The BMV-712 measures current flowing into and out of the battery through its shunt, then calculates information such as state of charge, consumed amp-hours and estimated time remaining. You can check the readings on the display or on your phone using Victron Connect.

Smart charging when mains power is available

The Blue Smart IP22 charger provides adaptive charging for the battery. Its built-in Bluetooth lets you view charging information and adjust settings in Victron Connect. The supplied 12/20(1) version has one battery output and a maximum charging current of 20A. Select an appropriate lead-acid charging profile and follow the battery’s charging instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Does this bundle provide 230V power when away from shore?
No. The charger uses incoming mains power to charge the 12V battery. An inverter is required if you want to run 230V appliances from the battery.

Can I see the battery level on my phone?
Yes. The BMV-712 Smart connects to the Victron Connect app via Bluetooth. The phone shown in product imagery illustrates the app and is not included in the bundle.

Are installation cables and protection included?
The BMV-712 includes its standard shunt and monitor cables. Battery power cables, terminals, fuses, battery securing hardware and any required AC protection should be specified for the individual installation unless expressly listed with the order.
