Description
Marine-grade wire rope grips (also called wire rope clips or bulldog grips) for forming eyes and securing the end of a wire rope back on itself. Made from 316 stainless steel for high corrosion resistance in marine, coastal and outdoor use.
Suitable for in-situ clamping. Match the grip size to the wire diameter. Typically use two or three grips per termination, with a thimble if you need a protected eye. Fit the saddle on the live (load-bearing) part of the rope and the U-bolt on the tail. Space grips about six rope diameters apart and re-tighten after initial load. Not intended as a lifting-certified termination unless specified for that use.
