Garmin Force® Trolling Motor 70A Power Plug

The Garmin 70A Power Plug provides a secure, removable power connection for Garmin Force and Force Kraken trolling motors.

Fitted to the trolling motor’s power cable, the plug connects to the corresponding Garmin boat-side receptacle. This allows the motor to be disconnected quickly without removing battery terminals or disturbing the boat’s permanent wiring.

Important Compatibility Information

This product is the motor-cable power plug only. The matching boat-side Garmin Power Receptacle is required to create a complete detachable connection.

For a new installation, both components should normally be ordered together.

Installation

The plug is installed on the Garmin trolling motor’s positive and negative power conductors. Correct polarity must be observed when terminating the cable.

Installation should include:

• Marine-grade cable and terminals
• Correct cable size for the total circuit length
• Secure and properly insulated terminations
• Strain relief for the motor cable
• A correctly rated circuit breaker close to the battery
• Protection against chafe, moisture and accidental damage

Always isolate the battery supply before installing or servicing the power connection. Follow the relevant Garmin Force or Force Kraken installation instructions for cable sizing and overcurrent protection.

Installation by a suitably qualified marine electrical technician is recommended.
